When you use a shavette for your shave, you have two choices. Either you can choose to buy the classic double edge blades and crack them in the middle before putting them in the blade holder. Or you can choose to buy the so-called Half Baldes, which are already ready for use when you buy them.

A Shavette has a cutting surface reminiscent of a straight razor's cutting surface. However, the advantage of the shavette is that you do not need to maintain the blade with a leather strap and paste, but simply replace it when it is needed.

And you can safely replace the blade in time, because they cost almost nothing to use. You will therefore achieve a smooth and comfortable shave at a very low price.
