It all started back in 1810 when Edouard Pinaud opened The House of Ed Pinaud in Paris. Here he sold cologne, shaving soap, cream, and lots of other care and beauty products. And it was a huge success! In fact, he became a cologne purveyor to the court of Napoleon the Third and created a custom-made cologne for the Hungarian army.
Then, he chose to launch his own brand, Clubman, that quickly became a well-known name in France and outside the country. With the Clubman series, Pinaud created a line of products for the quality-conscious man. Today, the series is found in virtually all barbershops in the United States. The Clubman products are reminiscent of France and act as the brand's unofficial face to the outside. The series is very popular and has won great international acclaim.
