If you are looking for a unique and extremely delicious razor, then you have come to the right product.
The Masamune razor is the first razor launched by Tatara and is made of 100% stainless steel.
The razors are turned on CNC machines from a solid piece of steel with a tolerance of up to 0.02 mm. It is thus to that extent a piece of precision tool.
Masamune is designed with the appearance of a classic safety razor, but with unique lines from the future and, due to a minimalist design, it is able to convey just the right expression of elegance and simplicity.
The Masamune razor provides a smooth and efficient shave. This is due to its small blade spacing and the negative blade exposure (See the additional product images for details).
The weight of the stainless Masamune razor is the driving force in shaving. The weight of the material ensures a controlled over the skin and you can let the weight of the razor do the work, while you gently tighten the skin with the other hand.
Tatara Masamune has an extremely precise mounting of the blade. This provides a consistent fit each time you insert a blade into the razor. The wide base plate combined with the top plate is designed specifically to minimize so-called blade chatter, meaning that the blade does not vibrate during the actual shave.
The closed base plate is the most popular. It is made with small grooves in the base plate, which secures the skin with a minimum of leaf exposure.
Do you ever want to change the blade exposure on your Masamune from -0.13 to 0.0 mm. this can be done by using a Masamune Nodachi Top Plate (See the additional product images for details).
This is made of matte stainless steel. Also available in a variant in dark stainless steel.
Blade gap: 0,63 mm.
Blade exposure: -0,13 mm.
